The post-Darwinian liber creaturae (free creature) is an organism that can pass through, pass between, and in cases of genetic mutation, pass beyond autonomous life forms. In a world with liber creatures, our world, any concept of ‘the living’ becomes diffuse, distributed, and even invisible. The liber creature defies our boundaries of life and by extension, death.
